Theophilus Dzimega

Founding President and Executive Director

Mr. Dzimega leads our Ghana expansion programs involving new programs and projects.  He ha several years of voluntary work with Merton Voluntary Service Council in Mitcham, United Kingdom.

Mr. Dzimega has a law background having completed the Ghana School of Law; he also degrees in Mining and Water Resources Engineering. He was the country Manager for Access Development, Head of operations for Safe Water Network and project manager at Newmont Ghana Ltd. He has had extensive work experience in the UK as a project engineer with Thames Water Limited, UK and as a Water and Resources Planner with Environment Agency, UK.

Clara Kasser-Tee

Board Member

Ms. Kasser Tee is a member of the Advisory Board of Proactive Ghana. She also has a wealth of experience in various leadership positions and a passion for voluntary work. She is a member of Board of Directors of Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD). She is a Lawyer by profession having been called to the bar in 2009, a private legal practitioner and head of chambers at Kasser Law Firm. Having obtained Masters of Laws degree in Alternative Resolution from the University of Ghana, Ms. Kasser–Tee has several publications to her name. She is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Law GIMPA and chair of GIMPA Faculty of Law Seminar Series.

Phyllis Akutale Asinah

Board Member

Ms. Phyllis Akutale Asinah is a member of the Advisory Board of Proactive Ghana. Ms. Phyllis Akutale Asinah is currently a freelance Social Worker who brings her extensive experience in the field coupled with administration and management skill sets. She is responsible for innovations and programs development, Ms Akutale holds LLB from the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) and awaiting to be called to the bar having completed the Ghana School of Law. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with Sociology and Executive MBA in Human Resource Management both from the University of Ghana.

Samuel Bekoe

Board Member

A governance analyst and an economist with expertise in designing governance frameworks, research and public policy regulatory development. Over the past 8 years, Samuel has applied his expertise to support extractives and environment policy formulation, management and compliance monitoring in Ghana, Guyana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, and Uganda. He has worked extensively on donor projects with funding from DFID, Omidyar Networks, EU, the World Bank, Government of Norway, and managed over 3 million GBP projects to support accountability actors, legislators and governments. His technical and political economy expertise has contributed significantly to the strengthening civil society and government partners to improve public policy and governance through tailored approaches to sector regulation. He has previously consulted with international agencies including EITI, Ghana Open Government Partnership secretariat, Inter Governmental Action against Money Laundering (GIABA), Ghana Integrity Initiative, NRGI, the Registrar’s Generals Department, Ghana, the Economist Intelligence Unit (UK). Samuel holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and MSc. In Environment and Development from the LSE in the UK. He also has a BA in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.

Peprah Berko Agyeman

Programs Manager

Mr Agyeman leads the programs team of Proactive Ghana. He has experience in sales, marketing as well as the planning and execution of programs. He has worked with organizations such as SAB Miller (Gh.) Ltd., StarLife Assurance Co. Ltd., Jobberman (Gh.) Ltd. and a host of others. He has degrees in varied fields including Economics and Law. Until recently, he was the Head of Business Development at Berock Ventures Ltd. He has experience in legal matters, specifically dispute resolution and corporate law.

Anthony Cobblah

Board Member

Dr Cobblah is an Information Scientist and professional librarian with over 20 years in the academic and research environment. He is currently the Librarian of the University of Cape Coast; prior to that he was the Librarian at the Methodist University, Accra. He was also at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSSIR), Accra. Currently he is the Vice Chair of Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana and the Interim Chair of Africa Regional Library Consortium Network. He holds MBA in Human Resource Management and a PhD in Information Science.
